Los Madriles Bar, a classic

Los Madriles began in 1963 as a seafood restaurant, after a few years the business passed into the hands of a Castilian family who made Los Madriles into an institution of home-cooked gastronomy in Valencia.

Its well-known owners made it one of the most famous restaurants in the city and they dedicated more than 40 years of hard work and good food to it.

An honest house of food with a traditional cookbook.

The doors closed in 2011 and then a complete renovation of the interior was carried out, bearing in mind the new owners’ wishes and the new image they wanted; but we still rely on a traditional cuisine, giving our stews and tapas a more current touch whilst maintaining the speciality so characteristic and popular of the Cocido (stew). Without a doubt, the stew is reimagined and adapted to the Mediterranean style nowadays

After this renovation, the only thing which remains of the original, is the façade and door awning which were built by Esteve Edo, who was a sculptor and a member of the Valencia Academy of Fine Arts.

Still a classic of our city and of the wider district, and a beloved place of many valencians across many generations.
